Sydney did not get the fair rub of the umpiring decisions except for the Papley push on Darcy Moore.
Hearing whinging from Victorian team supporters about the Victorian umpiring that led to a decision mildly supportive of a non Victorian team is like a Dracula Andrews complaining of too much blood in a bloodbath.
Matt Stevic from Gippsland in Victoria’s East generally umpires positively for the Victorian teams against the non Victorian teams. (Some May remember Stevic from the GWS Toby Greene situation, GWS were being umpired out of the contest in that game as well)
I hope the 3 field umpires next week for Sydney Swans and Geelong do not include Matt Stevic, the umpiring was very pro Collingwood in the Sydney game except for the Papley, Moore decision.
We do not want a repeat of that as ratings are down. seven West, Telstra and NewsCorp JV, FoxTel have poor ratings for the finals series again this year. the moving of the Brownlows will not help Seven West.
Swans should win unless the umpiring makes it a Vampires Football League.
