Further to the above - the Board & CEO need to set realistic & measurable goals for the next 12 months against which they can be assessed. We do not need fluffy bs aspirations that can be waived away in the event of non- attainment. Many years ago (as a finance professional) & as board member I suggested that we as a collective had become “fat & lazy”. That comment was thrown back at me for years but it was an eye opener for my colleagues as we sought to improve performance.
