I have just received a copy of a monthly newspaper published in Perth from a relative. The paper is a minor one and it is called "Have-a Go".
The publication of interest to me (and I think for other ANP investors also) is dated December 2022 Volume 32 No.04 Issue No.369.

It contains an article on page 3 about acclaimed Emeritus Professor Byron Kakulus of the Perron Institute in Nedlands WA. It says the now 90 year old Professor Founded the Perron Institute 40 years ago and is a world leader in the field of neuropathology and did pioneering research into DMD.
The Perron Institute and Muscular Dystrophy WA acknowledge they owe their origins to the findings by the Professor. He partnered with a group of parents whose children suffered from Muscular Dystrophy resulting in the formation of Muscular Dystrophy WA.
The article further states that one of the major breakthroughs includes the development of a drug that overcomes the most common gene mutation that causes DMD, revolutionising the treatment of the muscle wasting disease. Young people who would otherwise be in a wheelchair at age 12 are able to walk into their late teens and beyond.

Does anyone know what this drug is? First I have heard of it and the development.

I realise this might be well known to the science people on HC and apologies if this is so.

I worked with Prof Kukulus.. back in 1980 . We both worked for the WA Uni.. nice gentle man.I worked in Pathology and he worked in Neuropathology.
I’m aware of Prof K and his work with the Telethon.

The DMD drug is not a worry to Anp..
