I do recall you flagging this oddity at the time.
It did seem suspicious that we were able to take advantage of the cancellation. How far down the list did they have to call before we jumped on the opportunity?
This isn't like getting your haircut moved forward.
If there were a monkey-glut after a bunch of COVID research cancellations (or something), I could understand it... but the shortage is still a problem today?
Just plain old good luck? Maybe.
