    The last Ionis licenced patent expires in Sep 2023 (patents expiring in 2024 were not renewed and allowed to lapse in 2022/23).

    The Ionis/ANP licence agreement at 2001 IPO stated the licence terminates when the Ionis licenced patents (Ionis patents on ATL1101, ATL1102 and ATL1103) are no longer in force.

    ANPs methods of use patents on ATL1102 and ATL1103 take over and there is no longer a 33% licence fee to Ionis on partnership payments, or single digit royalty on sales.

    We’ll soon find out if this comes to fruition. The only caveat is if the 2024 patents that they ceased to pay renewal fees, don’t lapse until after this month, but it’s unlikely.
