Agree with your post - but the IONIS - Acromegaly - ATL1103 triangle is interesting in retrospect.

First of all - I don’t have the info in front of me - but I believe Ionis were starting their phase 2 trial in Cimdelirsen (Acromegaly) by 2018.

The patents on their (Ionis) LICA drugs expired in 2034, implying discovery in 2014.

Itsa’s comment about ANP not wanting to develop their acromegaly/ATL1103 because of Ionis’s cimdelirsen development raises a number of questions (that’s if anything itsa says can be taken on face value). Did we drop out because of a conflict with our licensor Ionis who also was developing an antisense acromegaly drug, or because Ionis was too big of a competitor? Or did we drop out because we lost a partner in Cortendo/Strongbridge and our limited funds couldn’t support development especially with the new focus on DMD/ATL1102? The latter is the likely main reason, but I’d be perturbed if it was arm-twisting from Ionis.

If it’s any coincidence, Ionis used to document that they owned shares in ANP in their annual report until 2015, when they just mentioned their licensing agreement with ATL (ANP).
