Although I no longer hold CAZ shares, I still follow this saga closely. I am not sure what Mr Carpenter constitutes as a "discussion", but he categorically stated on Perth talk back radio with Liam Bartlett, that he had been made aware of the Shovelanna dispute in his meeting with Rio bosses in London. The quote Carpenter made on radio, as to what he told Rio, was along the lines of "I can only assure you that the matter will be dealt with fairly". I am sure there are archives somewhere that would verify this.
