    encore,in other words asset depreciation.

    The $25 has not gone anywhere, it is destroyed, vapourised until replaced by myself either through borrowing or producing something that I can sell to someone else to replace it.

    When the economy becomes overwhelmed with asset depreciation ie the ability of CB's to create money supply is overwhelmed by the destruction eg Great Depression.
    And that is the difference between then and now. Back then they were constrained by the ability to supply liquidity rapidly enough to overcome the destruction.

    Now we have no such problem as the system is built around endless supply.
