What made you pick RFG as your first 'value investor' play? I mean, what is it about RFG in particular that stood out to you when making your decision? I know you believe that the pessimism is already priced into RFG, but what makes you think that all the bad news is already in the price? The reason I've asked these questions is because value investing requires a fair bit of research and consideration on the fundamentals, as well as favouring FA over TA.

I realise it's probably a bit late now, but if I was considering buying into RFG, i'd be inclined to go to a shopping centre or somewhere else where there are several RFG brand stores, and just watch them for a while. Maybe have a cup of coffee at one, and then do the same at the next one, then at the next one. See how busy they actually are. Things like this are common sense, but often get overlooked when buying shares ... especially if you think of yourself as an investor rather than as a trader.

    GLTAH.
