Thanks footy for this excellent explaination.
Its great to have BRILLIANT explanations of the happenings.

Unfortunately the world markets are running scared?
Obviously the concept that the Japanese will suffer another catastrophe is on all peoples minds.

So the next week will be critical as to what the outcome will be.
At least the containment of the buildings seems for now to be holding but obviously the concept of meltdown would throw another spanner into the world's stock markets.

So where does the world turn to now?
Solar energy - very limited electrical supply?
Fusion energy- maybe 20 years aawy if at all?
Geothermal- perhaps for countries like Japan and a few others with hot spots? Yes!
Definitely only leaves oil(limited)?,coal(heaps around but we will have to dig deeper, gas from natural and csg.., and of course URANIUM.
Certainly for now one catastophe will not stop URANIUM.

Overall its still being used safely in over 300+++ reacotors world wide.
So certainly locations of the reactor, types and safety designs will now play an important factor in all future nuclear stations that are built.
