All suburbs in the 5km ring from the city ie fitzroy,port melbourne, richmond etc u cant touch due to their overvalued status. Footscray lies 5kms from the city has fantastic public transport facilities and lies in the city of Maribyrnong, a council which is determined to develop the area and attract invesment. So in terms of future growth potential there is no better place to park your money than footscray. Although shunned at the moment in a few more years it will be the next trendy hot spot and wont be able to touch an outhouse let alone an apartment.
