Aquabotix subcontracted work to engineers or employed engineers to make swarm diver. Does it really matter? aquabotix owns swarmdiver, they either paid for it or developed it or a combination of both. otherwise you would have seen an announcement saying aquabotix purchases swarmdiver technology off blah blah blah...
but I can tell you they don't physically make swarmdiver themselves they subcontract that out to reduce overheads
