I think all we really want is for the markets to return to their true fundamentals, fear breeding fear could well lead to the collapse of my other financials institutions as once your share price has been decimated to the point where it's almost impossible to raise new capital the only option is to ether merge or close your doors which of course has a flow on effect to other institutions.

At the moment yes it does appare that we have the case of a house being held up by twigs but you have to allow enough time for the concrete truck to arrive and sure up the foundations.
