Smart dog, but but Fergus feels he's labouring under the misconception that governments privatise instrumentalities because they believe the private sector can run them more efficiently. Not so. Ask him whether he's ever met an MP or high level public servant who believed his skills/capabilities were inferior to anyone in private enterprise.
The reason govts privatise is that they suspect/know that there has to be a substantial rise in prices/charges in the future. They need someone else to take the flak for that.
We are currently experiencing that here is SA with our water and electricity.
This may have trouble getting through the profanity filter but I'll risk the phrase timed local calls.
