Hi @Taurisk
Years ago, had a pet rabbit. At the time was living in a totally separate flat at the back of a house. The flat was originally built before the house and the owner decided to rent it out. The property had beautiful lawns and gum trees at the back. The rabbit too had a house - a cage that was 'secure' from predators and was left outside the flat at night. One morning as I stepped out the front, I saw the rabbit upside down, stiff and dead. Did not hear anything during the night and to this day have no idea exactly how it ended up like that. Not a sight one wishes to see. Now I just enjoy seeing rabbits in the wild - there are plenty around, not too far from home in the bush.
A few days ago, saw an echidna crossing a dirt road whilst driving as well as kangas hopping in the bush. Stopped the car to see the echidna - it just got off the road and dug itself in the ground.
Lately been taking some long walks - some as long as 10km (still try to adhere to what a physio told me years ago - do lots of walking to move joints, otherwise may cease up ) The bush and surrounding farmland is amazing but sadly there is so much human induced rubbish all around that is hard to escape from as it's more visible when one is walking but at least nowhere as bad as in places like India where there are rubbish dumps on acreage with rubbish piled as high as 5-10 storey buildings with many people literally living off recycling some of the waste - hard to imagine how bad the stench would be. Grateful to be living here - perhaps take many things for granted.
One late afternoon, managed to capture the moon rising from one side of the street and the sun setting from the other side of the street recently on one of the long walks as the temperature was starting to drop:
