for the computer / tech gurus

I downloaded a movie torrent lots of good reviews of the torrent being a good copy - so it's not junk...

BUT it's come through in a file that won't play in either VLC or WMP so i need to convert it to something that will allow me to play it - it's also not a file i know anything about

It's a normal length movie 90 odd minutes but it's broken up into 48 RAR files all about 14MB in size


Anyone know the easiest way to transfer these into a single file & something that will play on VLC ?
