Labor, Greens strike preference deal
Posted 18 minutes ago
Labor and the Greens are understood to have struck a deal on preferences for the upcoming federal election.
The preference swap arrangement will be a big boost for Labor in some lower house seats, and it is expected to help the Greens in the Senate.
The details of the deal have not been released.
Greens leader Bob Brown has been encouraging voters to make up their own mind about preferences and says they do not have to follow how to vote cards.
