I would say a piece of land is far better than a piece of gold. It's useful, has a dividend, you can farm it, plant it out, graze it, it's liquid, you can build on it, people need it. My example of the Sydney house price is an excellent example.
The idea that gold is the best investment is nonsense, it's proven fact, one of the worst investments on Earth.
