Andy - It's a hard game we have chosen to play. I think I told you my holdings...yes, EVN disappointing...perhaps an opportunity. A steal should it fall to 1.40.
By the way Bill O' Neill (founder, Editor of IBD, "inventor" of Cup and Handle, his favorite pattern) said you WANT to see stocks making new 52 week high...not something to be afraid of....a horse can keep on running...I saw it week after week with EVN, the one I know best. There were never any dips to buy for much or 2015, except one "incident" (NCM dumping 127M EVN shares overnight March 2015, causing a 10.5 %% price drop). Just kept buying more as it rose...
This where I stand - several are recent BUYs - the bottom 2 I'd classify as specs (maybe even bottom 3 or 4). The rest are "respectable". Always open to fine tuning.
FWIW, I am making a huge macro bet, skin in the game, and not talk (which is cheap)....based on much intensive study, of the news which I report late at night and live blog here, the numbers (globally), even geopolitics (which I love). BUT, I am not a specialist in Mining and Metallurgy, mineralogy, geology. A trained political economist (who worked in IT, Database), but not an Accountant (useful skill).
But I will say I picked EVN, by myself, in Oct 2014 @57c (again, based on same macro world view).
I like to think I'm like those guys in The Big Short...perhaps many here feel that way?
