This is deliberate in the insurance game. They will classify you as a sticky customer if you've had the same policy with them for a certain number of years and pretty much tag you as someone who will just put up with premium increases. There is money to be saved by switching every year provided you aren't getting some significant offsetting benefit through loyalty/membership.
