    If it costs $35000 to connect power lines etc to house then a bluegen could be an option. Even if it doesnt put power back into the grid. I dont believe it is a requirement to feed back in to the grid, thats just what makes it economical.

    btw farmers are good at getting subsides/handouts and less energy infrastruture would be beneficial for communities since less maintenance in checkups-storms-floods..... if eventually they cost 8k then its a no brainer. All they would need is a few gas bottles.

    The same goes for new communities, could eventually be cheaper to provide a bluegen then setup underground power and maintain the powerlines/boxes etc.

    Does a bluegen need external power to get started?
