Thanks for that post...interesting reading alright. I'm in the coal game myself, have been for 30 years. I'm not a technical person but I agree with the inference that nuclear is not really an option...apart from cost IMHO the bulk of countries will not go this way in our lifetimes so the only other real alternative is coal...yes there's wind, hydro, solar and others but it's mostly coal that we see being converted, certainly in the southern hemisphere, and most certainly in the SE Asian corners.
So coal mining to me is one of the worlds most recession proof Industries, in reality people are not going to turn lights and the TV off to save power....so for the longer term coal is the go....and CCC would have to be as good a bet as any.
