Didn't take long for this thread to disintegrate into all sorts of stuff, just like 'Good News Bad News' really (same type of content). Bout time to kill this off and just go back to the good ol' normal thread instead of ducking and diving between two.
My opinion only.
On a more serious note ....... average daily volumes have been steadily reducing for the last few weeks (ASX data only)
week ending 20 Jan 30.664M
week ending 27 Jan 31.963M
week ending 3 Feb 20.687M
week ending 10 Feb 16.364M
and continues today 11.633M
Not only is the volume dropping, but the intraday trading range is shrinking and volatility receding.
This suggests to me that supply is now being stress tested - in another post, I called this 'wringing the towel'. They are trying to get every last drop out of weak hands. I have been waiting for this behavior.
I am anticipating a quick/one session move down to back test then a spring into the next wave. Timeframe? Wringing the towel could continue until 24 Feb.
Could totally be wrong with the tea leaves of course!
