I wonder what sort of questions Ian has in mind? If we could come up with some example questions then it would help us appreciate the potential value.

My attempt (would like to see other's ideas):
Landsurveys scans of entire Oz road network combined with vehicle accident location and statistics as well as Google vehicle counting data.
1) List the most dangerous road sections in order of highest fatalities per vehicle. Match these dangerous road sections with similar road layouts, but that have low fatalities per vehicle. What is the road design difference? e.g. tar vs dirt, visible speed sign warning, rumble strip, pedestrian underpass, sunlight angle, pub at high speed section of road, etc.
2) What route should a new road follow such that it has no high fatality risk features?
