SIGNIFICANT URANIUM MINERALISATION AT THE MILE 72 PROJECT,
ERONGO PROVINCE, NAMIBIA.
HIGHLIGHTS
· Sampling of the calcretes at Mile 72 has generated results of up to 2819 ppm
(0.282%) U3O8.
· A 42 square kilometre palaeochannel system, with a strike length of 11 kilometres
has been identified at Mile 72
· Two scintillometer/ spectrometer traverses along the southern border of the
palaeochannel system have encountered significant radiometric anomalism.
· Eight calcrete samples were collected along 8 kilometres of the 11 kilometre strike
length within the palaeochannel. Six of these samples returned ore grade results
of over 300 ppm (0.03%) U3O8.
· An aggressive sampling programme is scheduled to commence immediately.
Metals Australia Ltd (‘Metals’) is pleased to announce that the reconnaissance exploration
programme at its Mile 72 project (100% MLS) in Namibia has generated ore grade uranium
assays from calcrete sampling within a recently identified palaeochannel system.
