I think those are fair concerns. As a shareholder, of course I would like to see a good return on my investment, but not at the expense of someone's national park.
I think Mr. Sangster and his team have been working very hard to address those concerns and based on the 'recommendation for approval' given by the Park Board's director I would say he seems to have done so successfully.
From what I understand this mine is on the very fringes of the park and the tailings damn has been reduced and hidden largely from sight. I don't think the major hiking trails go past it from what I have read.
Hopefully the Board votes in the affirmative so the locals and SGZ investors can all benefit from the UK's first gold mine! :)
The tour of the mine site is probably going on right about now. I hope it is a positive experience for everyone.
