T4P, painting is my real world- it is 5% talent and 95% application. Get some oils or better yet acrylics and a couple of boxes of 60cmx 60 cm canvases and start NOW. What you don't like you can paint over - but keep a selection so that you can see your progress. Buy a couple of books on techniques but do you own thing with that knowledge. Most important- START NOW. You will find it immeasurably satisfying - because you are the only one who can say if you got it right or not. If you're not happy with it, paint over it - but don't judge your own work too harshly. You will be surprised how often you will be happy with what starts as a concept in your mind and ends up as a colourful representation of contextual meaning that you want to hang on your wall. good luck- but mostly- practice. regards poppi. ps- thx for the info on cvi.I hold.
