To be honest other than AB is involved in both I dont see the connection. RSL was seperated from RRR in order IMO to take away the burdon of fund raising, an astute move as its turned out. The difference with JMS is that he has put a lot of RRR money into this one as see's it as a cornerstone of Red Rocks short term future rather than an entity to cut loose from, also he has found a partner with very deep pockets.
If you cannot see the difference then put your money in something else.
