Yes, the Lambing Flat Riots were the beginning of the White Australia Policy, only rescinded by the greatest Australian PM who ever lived (even though he didn’t know SFA about economics and nearly stuffed us for 10 years).....Young now has a Chinese Garden at what has been known as “Chinaman’s Dam” that has been dedicated to “the contribution of the Chinese people to the founding of Young and to their ongoing contribution to Australia as a nation”...this was championed by a former Mayor when that Horrible Harradine Pauline Hanson came on the scene...
