This article explores how venture capitalists shaped the biotech sector, at least in the US context. Of course, Australia is a little different in that VC funding for biotech businesses is scarce. Fortunately, the ASX has filled the gap and effectively provides the early-stage funding needed by biotech startups. I'll explore this in a future article.
