Most of Australia will be using the NBN soon. It's come just in time as so much of the existing infrastructure (esp the aging copper network) is past it's use by date and is corroding away. My landline fails a few times a year and Telstra technicians have told me that the infrastructure is the cause and all the major cables need replacing not more patching as is occurring. Dave R.
