Dave R, If you argue that the Fibre is essential infrastructure like roads the whole argument is run differently. Roads are monopolies are there are government powers of resumption. There is no pretense of 'free market'.
The issue here is that the government has said NBN is a commercial enterprise which will increase competition. Yet the Tasmanian government has given it a unique advantage over its competitors.
