forced sale - not in my view

I am not an expert here, but it hardly looks lie, they are going to have a fire sale to square up Sedco, unless off course there was an alterior motive.

The Sedco announcement says that the settlement is subject to a binding corporate or asset sale by 2nd April.

Like I said, i am no expert BUT it looks to me like they have cut a deal of some description and need to clear up Sedco as part of the process.

Sedco are hardly likely to waste their time agreeing to a deal, subject to a binding sale if such as sale was unlikely. If one wasnt on the table, they are hardy going to initiate it and close it in three weeks.

Looks to me like what we have been waiting for - a sale of some type, hopefully whole of company.
