I checked the outstanding loaned stock page on the ASX last night and the short positions hadn't changed. Trying to bring it up today but no luck yet. I suspect that this only covers regulated short selling and it can also be done without ASX oversight, but is indicative of the fact that shorts were still feeling pretty confident yesterday. Will look at the figures with interest this arvo.

I think somebody/fund/bank has accumulated 40-50million shares ( a 12% stake or thereabouts) and we are going to find out who it is in the next week or so. Short covering today perhaps. Would be very hard for shorts to get this below the doji closes after two exhaustion gaps.
