Since I didn’t get a responses from any poster to my question or suggestions how AGM votes should utilises technology to improve the perception of the voting results.
It appears the use of other people’s technology to save a cent or two is valid practises, especially without the need to provided shares either hardware or software at the company expense.
But the use of the company’s technology to improve transparency and credibility to voting results would be considered as a detriment to the company’s reputation!
I posed this question to Suncorp Investor relations department but it appears one benefit of modern technology could be to ignore questions that aren’t conducive to the company line of thinking.
I would have thought that one would have gotten an automated receipt of email arriving on their server’s?
