Ford closes today and the pearler from Emerson was a classic useless confession. The ALP had 6 years in govt to develop a manufacturing policy. They apparently failed to do so. The ALP still claims to be the party of the working class battlers. Yet zero policy on their jobs. 6 years and a zillion spent on overseas fact finding trips etc and still a zero policy on jobs.
So what did Emerson and the ALP do in 6 years. What was their guiding hand doing that saved the nation.
Bingo! They borrowed lots and lots of cash easy. For the ALP if there was a problem you just need to borrow!
