What people are missing here is that the sport truck is now becoming a dominate category in Australia . As they get better they are starting to be used as family cars . One vehicle that can do many things .
As for the Raptor , it is a more extreme version but try and buy a 4wd and then convert it so that it will do what a Raptor will do . You will spend a lot more money and you won't have a factory warranty nor will it be as nice to drive .
I reckon they'll sell really well in a niche market . I have no doubt their underpinings will be good if the F150 Raptor is anything to go by . It will be interesting to see how powerful they will be in practice . While the horsepower numbers aren't too exciting compared to an existing Ranger , having sequential turbos and a 10 speed box will probably make all the difference I reckon .
