    Part of the problem was Ford didn't move with the times.
    People were switching to 'mid' and 'small' size cars and Ford were still making 'big' cars.
    They were also unreliable and expensive.
    After owning many Fords and paying many major repair bills,
    I bought a Kia which was cheap and has been extremely reliable.
    I was amazed how Ford couldn't get basic things like cooling systems and brakes up to scratch.
