    The ultimate value from any investment is the cashflow it generates. You cannot pay wages with earnings. But earnings can be manipulated to say anything you want. Just a counterbalance argument to your simplistic PE 6. If you expense all R & D (which is what CSL does), the earnings multiple is not quite that flash anymore.
