I wonder if that hydrogen tax incentive will also impact the collaboration with ATCO Australia for green hydrogen under it’s
[$49m Modern Manufacturing Grant ] (still largely undrawn?) of March 2022.
And looking at the budget’s battery initiatives, it seems to me in retrospect there were a lot of important pieces set in play in 2022 …. like the
[MOU with North Harbour Clean Energy] in the Eastern states of May 2022 for collaboration on development and installation of vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB) projects and vanadium electrolyte supply.
(NHCE is part of the $50M University of New South Wales and University of Newcastle Australian Government Trailblazer partnership which the Prime Minister recently cited)
That NHCE relationship may hopefully grow and prosper given the high profile team there and the fact that later that year NHCE signed a manufacturing JV with Cell Cube
[for an 8GWh manufacturing facility ].
NHCE will surely benefit from the budget’s
“$15bn cash splash for hydrogen production and critical minerals processing, a major stimulus push the Albanese government hopes will unlock $50bn in private spending to further turbocharge the sector.
Both packages will be delivered through a production tax credit, refunding companies that enter production a portion of their operating costs…”[ref: The Australian]
And not to forget our own intent to build smaller VFB batteries for houses, hospitals, hotels blocks of units etc etc
