arrrh -- yes, hard to argue with --- but, logic and common sense says it's a medium term bet at best -
unless you have inflation to keep up --- that must hit a wall and when it does --
it probably stops like a train hitting the bottom of a cliff and is very hard to exit.
when the train has stopped by hitting the wall in the past -- it's been almost impossible to even sell cheap to get out of trouble - because in that environment -- no one lends -
so, the only market is cash holders --- and, they drive very very very hard bargains.
an investment that performs massively for say, even a couple of decades then gets devastated is not a sound investment.
to have a highly speculative investment which can turn illiquid overnight is fraught with danger - you can, of course be all smiles whilst the bull is running - but, it's just exactly like the stockmarket in a bull run -- no one thinks it's going to stop and there is joy everywhere -
