Loan guarantees, or any other similar measure will not fix the problems.
Extending loans or guaranteeing them to a company in trouble is about the worst thing that can be done. It just confirms that slack lazy management can continue on their slack lazy ways, but with government help.
In the end it will guarantee Qantas demise altogether.
The only thing that will fix it is proper targeted management, devoid of the baggage of a sleepy board and politics.
