Any changes today will not move the company one step towards having a business plan that delivers profits for its shareholders.

The fact is the management have implemented a failed business plan, with its own subsiduary eating it profits and using huge amounts of capital to set up asian carriers that are hotly resisted by the local governments and competitors and are still struggling to get operating licences let alone cover the blessed cost of capital all stolen from the Qantas balance sheet.

Until they fix the failed business plan this continual destruction of the QF brand will continue and the staff along with the shareholders will keep suffering. Its criminal that there is no accountability after over 5 years of zero dividends, collapsing share price and the only plan is to hack an arm of because it seems like the only option that appeals to an insane government bent on destroying the entire nation.

When will they work it out that if we have no well paid workers there are no people to buy services from all the companies, there is no tax's paid and we slide into a never ending cycle of cuts and further job losses followed by further cut !!! The only "age of entitlements" is all the fat politicians with unfunded super, no retirement age, cars and endless expense accounts paid for but us who will all loose our jobs...... One day it will end for them too !!!!

What they should do is get onto these uncompetitive companies such as Emirates and make them prove they are paying market rates for things like fuel ? If not hit them with a tarrif until they play by the market rules. Their governments are just too smart for our idiots, they are supported and funded to create a huge industry that generates wealth, tourism, tax's and employent..... ours are locked in the reverse cycle destroying industry, slashing jobs and wrecking our country !!!!
