The description of a person as Australian is used very loosely nowadays and is utilised by some persons so they can obtain protection from the nation that has welcomed them, a welcome which they sometimes abuse eg those Lebanese who demanded that the Australian Government arrange for their immediate repatriation to Australia by air during one of those endless Lebanese civil wars. Didn't they know of this possibility when they travelled there?
