Protectionism will act as a handbrake on investment / production , ergo less supply in time will result in higher prices. Thats how I would read this. And the bigger well capitalized miners with a strong mix of geographically based assets will be the ones best equipped , the smaller one or two asset entities are the ones that carry the bigger risk imho.
But higher gold /copper prices going forward....
