foreign ownership drops.

Since 18th November there was a drop of 1.6% in number of shares held by foreigners.

On 18 November 2009, pursuant to ASX Listing Rule 3.19.1, Qantas advised the market that foreign
persons had a relevant interest in 45% of Qantas issued share capital.
ASX Listing Rule 3.19.1 requires that Qantas advise the market when the level of foreign relevant
interest changes by more than 1%.
Pursuant to Listing Rule 3.19.1, based on the most recent reconciliation, which commenced on 16
December 2009 and was completed today, Qantas advises the market that foreign persons have a
relevant interest in 43.4% of Qantas shares.

At the same same time SP increased by about 10% and then droped a bit last couple of day.

Any thought on the matter?

How about profit taking, price increase coupled with higher Ausie which would put icing on the cake.

Or do we Ausies value our "icon" more that the foreigners?
