According to the Australian Institute 86% of "our" mines are foreign owned. No wonder the average Aussie is indifferent about our resources
because we have been (like frogs boiling) gradually dispossed.
Is it now time to Nationalise these resources so that the average Aussie has skin in the game?
Indonesia ( we consider it a 3rd world country) has a COW System whereby 51% of its mines are
Indonesian owned within 10 years of the commencement of mining.
Should we be considering a similar regime?
