Too simplistic for me
To cut spending does not automatically mean a lower standard of living.
To start with we have closed down our industries so that there are many things that previously were made in Australia which we now have to purchase overseas.
THIS IS A GOVERNMENT PROBLEM NOT MINE
I agree Australians are living beyond their means and incurring huge private debt which has to be covered by overseas money
Once again lack of Government control
I come back to my point that Australia is not like a lot of overseas countries we are capable of providing most of our needs within our boarders and if we have foreign investment it should be on our terms and we the people must benefit.
When I say we must benefit that does not mean multi nationals that are based in Australia that do not pay tax or contribute much to the people
