Those were days when u didn’t have to be an Australia citizen but as long as u belonged to certain Commonwealth country.

Lots of Poms joined the RAAF with our government paying for their relocation costs.
I think at that time their were a few white South Africans

The NZ airforce apprenticeship training was carried out at Wagga.
Singaporeans and Malay ground crew did some of their trade training also at Wagga.

I enlisted a couple of year before our involvement in the Vietnam war.
The squadrons that I served with, consisted predominantly of Poms and Wogs!
There were hardly anyone who served with me who was born in Australia!

Recruiting will difficult because the near future looks bleak with the chances of conflict being very high.
