Thanks Sabbath for posting on this. My wife got a letter and two page form from Westpac at the end of June. No proof of identity was requested.I assumed this had something to do with buying two parcels of Air New Zealand shares in April through Westpac Broking, one in my name and one in hers. I would have ignored it as a possible scam had it not threatened to restrict her accounts. The puzzling thing is - why haven't I received the same letter and form? My feeling is that the banks (at least Westpac) are doing random checks just so they can report that they are following whatever directions they got from the Royal Inquiry.
